DEMSLab 3.0 Release Notes

• The coupling interface between DEMSLab and the third-party MBD (Multibody Dynamics) software is added. Users can carry out both one-way and two-way coupling simulation between DEMSLab and any MBD software. The decoupling simulation interface between DEMSLab and the third-party MBD software is also supplied by the new version of DEMSLab.
• The coupling module between DEMSLab and the popular MBD software MSC Adams is supplied.
• The loads export interface is added. Users can carry out one-way coupling simulation between DEMSLab and the third-party FEM (Finite Element Method) software using decoupling simulation.
• A new function to stop coupling (including CFD-DEM coupling and MBD-DEM coupling) is added to the menu. The third-party CFD or MBD software in coupling with DEMSLab can be stopped by using the new function of DEMSLab.
• The 6-DOF boundary type is added.
• The bug that some kinds of polyhedron particles cannot be imported is cleared.
• The bug of hard particle model for polyhedron model is cleared.
• Some User C functions are added, improved, and modified.
• Some bugs about CFD-DEM coupling are cleared.
• The maximum number of shells is increased to 1000.
• The default output frame number of videos is changed from 10 frames per second to 20 frames per second.
• The compatibility of DEMSLab with the data of previous versions is greatly improved.
• The compatibility between DEMSLab and all versions of Windows operating system is greatly improved.
• Fatal error exception handling capability is greatly improved.
