Overview

DEMSLab has the following basic features:
• The world's leading non-spherical particle simulation model and algorithm are adopted in DEMSLab. The following particle models are included:
    - Sphere-based model: sphere model, multi-sphere, bonded-sphere model, and droplet model.
    - Super-ellipsoid-based model: super-ellipsoid model, and multi-super-ellipsoid model.
    - Polyhedron-based model: convex polyhedron model, and concave polyhedron model.

• The geometry of device handling granular materials can be generated by any 3D modelling software.
• The solver is parallel on the computer with multi-core processor and shared memory. It can simulate ~10,000,000 particles on the computer with 32 GB memory. And the speed of calculation depends on the frequency and the number of cores of the processor.
• DEMSLab supports complex motion (vibration, rotation, 6-DOF movement, etc.) of device and periodic boundary conditions (including Lees-Edwards boundary condition).
• DEMSLab provides more than 200 API functions for user defined functions (User C Functions).
• DEMSLab can couple with CFD (such as ANSYS Fluent), FEM (such as ANSYS Structure) and MBD (such as Adams) software.
• The post processor is based on OpenGL, which can display the information of the motion and force of the granular material and equipment in real time.
• A large number of tutorials and help documents are provided by DEMSLab.
