Preprocessor

• The geometry of device can be generated by any 3D modelling software (such as UG NX, Pro/E, SolidWorks, and CATIA, in which UG NX is preferred because it can separate different bodies of the device in STL file) or came from ANSYS Fluent mesh file generated by pre-processor for ANSYS Fluent (such as ANSYS ICEM CFD or Gambit). The mesh file of DEMSLab can be converted from STL file or ANSYS Fluent mesh file.
• Particles in different shapes can be created and models by DEMSLab, as shown follows:
    - Sphere-based model: sphere model, multi-sphere, bonded-sphere model, and droplet model.
    - Super-ellipsoid-based model: super-ellipsoid model, and multi-super-ellipsoid model.
    - Polyhedron-based model: convex polyhedron model and concave polyhedron model.
• DEMSLab supports complex motion (vibration, rotation, movement, etc.), periodic boundary conditions (including Lees-Edwards boundary condition), etc.
